The Department of Human Resources would like to inform its estimated staff and the Public of opportunities for the position of Truck & forklift driver.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a Rwandan driving license categories C, E, and F.
• Have at least two (2) years of professional experience in driving trucks and operating special machines such as forklifts.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Be in good physical and health condition.
•  Must be able to speak and understand English or French.
• Must demonstrate team spirit, integrity, and the ability to work independently.

Main responsibilities

• Deliver goods while operating a truck, sometimes across districts or rural areas.
• Load and unload finished goods and empties using a forklift.
• Record the quantity and type of cargo being delivered.
• Drive long distances safely and efficiently.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Inspect the truck before and after each trip and report any defects.
• Follow proper procedures in case of an accident.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs.
• Keep the truck and related equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods to clients.
• Submit trip reports/logs to the line manager after each trip.
