Logistics Shift Leader

Job Summary

SBL is seeking a proactive and experienced Logistics Shift Leader to oversee the efficient management of empty containers, finished products, and crates. The successful candidate will ensure that deliveries to the Production Department are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with established procedures.

Main Responsibilities

  • Receive empty bottles and crates returned by distributors and employees, and reconcile them against delivery receipts.
  • Record returns, delivery transactions, and production supply transactions in Sage X3.
  • Coordinate and monitor timely deliveries to the Production Department.
  • Ensure compliance with FIFO principles and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Oversee the secure storage and proper handling of goods.
  • Monitor daily stock levels and update warehouse records accordingly.
  • Support stock-taking activities in accordance with approved plans and schedules.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports on inventory, transactions, and warehouse activities.
  • Supervise and coordinate shift activities to ensure operational efficiency and continuity.

Key Competencies and Qualifications

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of inventory control, stock accuracy, and warehouse operations.
  • Experience using inventory management systems, preferably ERP systems such as Sage X3.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, FIFO principles, and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze inventory data, stock trends, and operational information.
  • Experience in supervising and coordinating teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • High integrity, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit and willing to work nights, weekends, and public holidays when required.
